The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive marketing and communications for the parish with the overall objective of enhancing the visibility and impact of the parish mission and activities. This role involves creating compelling content, managing and executing digital and print communications, and engaging with the community to achieve our mission. It also includes providing appropriate direction and oversight to the marketing and communications for Saint John the Baptist Catholic School. Responsibilities:

In collaboration with parish leadership and other church and school staff, execute effective messaging and communications tactics to advance the mission of the parish. This includes both print and digital materials.
Direct and execute the production of weekly parish communications including the bulletin and weekly electronic newsletter; ensure appropriate editorial oversight in alignment with pastor’s direction.
Direct and execute the annual parish guide and annual parish report at the direction of the Pastor.
Design, implement, and manage the parish (church and school) website; ensure content is current and accurate. Provide appropriate direction and oversight to other staff (church and school) on content requirements and enable maintenance capabilities as needed.
Oversee all parish social media and ensure appropriate content, placement and frequency.
Develop and coordinate burst email communications and maintain an ongoing list of email addresses to use for Mailchimp (or successor software) for the church; provide direction as needed to school burst email processes.
Photograph, record or manage other photographers/videographers, to take pictures and videos at select church events; produce church videos as needed and provide support and direction to school resources as needed.
Manage the publication of any photographs or other material on St. John’s digital properties.
