Job Summary
Most Sacred Heart Catholic Church & School is seeking aPart-Time Librarian (one day per week). This role supports the academic and spiritual mission of the school by managing library resources and fostering a love of reading,
Job Responsibilities
Library Management
- Organize, catalog, and maintain a collection of printed materials appropriate for students
- Manage and maintain library system and resources
- Assist with selection and ordering of materials within budget guidelines
- Maintain a welcoming, safe, and engaging library environment
Instructional Support
- Support students in selecting appropriate and engaging reading materials
- Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum through literature and library resources
Student Engagement
- Foster a love of reading and lifelong learning
- Encourage student curiosity through books
- Reading to children
Job Requirements
- Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
- Familiarity with library systems and checkout
- Strong organizational, communication, and basic technology skills
- Practicing Catholic or willing to support and uphold the Catholic mission
