Job Summary
The Summer Academic Interventionist Aide at St. Louis Catholic Academy supports targeted academic instruction within the summer program by assisting teachers and interventionists in delivering small-group and individualized support. This role helps accelerate student learning in core subjects while reinforcing a structured, faith-centered environment aligned with the mission of the school.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide small-group and one-on-one academic support in reading, math, and foundational skills
- Assist teachers and interventionists with implementing targeted instructional strategies and interventions
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to instructional staff
- Support lesson preparation, including organizing materials and setting up intervention activities
- Reinforce academic concepts to help close learning gaps and improve student achievement
- Supervise students during instructional time, transitions, and program activities
- Maintain a focused, supportive, and structured learning environment
- Model positive behavior and uphold values consistent with St. Louis Catholic Academy
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; college coursework in education or related field preferred
- Experience working with students in academic support, tutoring, or intervention settings preferred
- Strong understanding of basic literacy and math concepts
- Ability to work with small groups and provide individualized instruction
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for supporting student learning
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff
- Commitment to supporting a faith-based educational environment
