About Family Christian Academy
Family Christian Academy is a private Christian school serving students from Kindergarten through 12th grade in Orlando, Florida. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centered education that equips students academically, spiritually, and personally while helping them discover their God-given purpose.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher who loves children, values Christian education, and is committed to creating an engaging and nurturing classroom environment.
Position Summary
The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality instruction, fostering a positive classroom culture, and supporting the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional development of students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong classroom management skills, effective communication, and a heart for ministry through education.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
- Create a safe, positive, and Christ-centered learning environment.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school initiatives.
- Participate in school events, parent conferences, professional development, and staff meetings.
- Foster character development, leadership, and a love of learning.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
- Strong Christian faith and commitment to supporting the mission of Family Christian Academy.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and build positive relationships with students and families.
Preferred
- Florida Teaching Certificate or eligibility for certification.
- Previous elementary teaching experience.
- Experience in a private or Christian school setting.
