Job Description
St. Margaret Catholic Elementary School is looking to hire a full time Second Grade teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will be responsible for all core subjects as well as sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons in core subjects: Religion, Math, Reading, Writing, Science and Social Studies. Experience with Fundations is preferred.
- Model and promote Catholic values and teachings in daily interactions
- Assess student progress regularly and maintain accurate records
- Post grades in a timely manner on FACTS
- Communicate effectively with parents on a regular basis through conferences, reports and updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Master's Degree is a plus)
- Valid teaching certification (preferred)
- Practicing Catholic with knowledge of Catholic teachings and willingness to support SMS mission
- Experience working with elementary-aged children
