Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and relationship-driven Director of Advancement to lead the school's fundraising, alumni engagement, donor stewardship, and advancement operations. This leadership position is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive advancement strategy that strengthens philanthropic support, deepens alumni engagement, and advances the mission of our Catholic, Marianist school.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising & Donor Development:
·Lead and grow The Lions Fund annual giving program.
·Build and manage the annual giving pipeline and prepare donors for major gift cultivation.
·Conduct donor meetings and cultivate relationships with current and prospective supporters.
·Develop annual fundraising strategies, stewardship initiatives, donor segmentation, and appeal campaigns.
·Coordinate donor moves management with the Head of School.
Alumni Relations & Community Engagement:
·Lead the Alumni Association, reunion giving initiatives, and class ambassador programs.
·Strengthen lifelong engagement among alumni and their families.
·Partner with Admissions and Athletics to promote community engagement.
·Manage named scholarship awards.
Advancement Communications:
·Oversee appeals, newsletters, stewardship communications, and impact reports.
·Direct production of Connections magazine.
·Ensure mission-centered branding and messaging.
Advancement Operations:
·Supervise Advancement Office staff and Advancement Services.
·Ensure donor database integrity, gift processing, reporting, and acknowledgements.
·Manage operational workflows and fundraising systems.
Events & Volunteer Engagement:
·Lead Giving Day, alumni events, stewardship events, and the annual golf tournament.
·Recruit, train, and support volunteers, ambassadors, and class agents.
Qualifications & Requirements:
·Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
·Demonstrated success in advancement, development, nonprofit fundraising, or major gift cultivation.
·Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
·Strong relationship-building, organizational, and project management skills.
·Ability to maintain confidentiality.
·Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge preferred.
·Commitment to supporting the Catholic/Marianist mission of Chaminade-Madonna.
