Job Summary
Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School seeks a dedicated, faith-filled Middle School Teacher to join our academic community. The successful candidate will be committed to academic excellence, student formation, and the mission of Catholic education. This position involves teaching middle school students in a Christ-centered environment that promotes intellectual, spiritual, and moral growth.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction for middle school students.
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily lessons and classroom interactions.
- Establish and maintain a positive, safe, and structured learning environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and families.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to support student success.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding academic progress and classroom expectations.
- Participate in school liturgies, faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
- Support and uphold the mission, philosophy, and values of Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Catholic School.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid Missouri teaching certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Practicing Catholic preferred; all candidates must respect and support the mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Previous middle school teaching experience preferred.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and school leadership.
