Coordinator of Music & Liturgy
Blessed Sacrament Parish is seeking a faith-filled, collaborative Coordinator of Music & Liturgy
who is passionate about leading others into a deeper encounter with Christ through beautiful,
reverent worship. This position provides leadership in planning and coordinating the liturgical life
of the parish while fostering a vibrant music ministry that inspires active participation in the
sacred liturgy. Working closely with the pastor, staff, clergy, and volunteers, the Coordinator of
Music & Liturgy will help ensure that every liturgical celebration reflects the beauty, unity, and
mission of our parish community.
Hours: 20 hours per week / weekends
Start Date: Immediately or as soon as the right candidate is able to begin.
Compensation: $35,000 or negotiable according to 20 to 22 hours per week and based on
experience and education.
Additional compensation for weddings and funerals is set by and paid directly to the Coordinator
of Music and Liturgy.

Job Summary:
The Coordinator of Music and Liturgy is responsible for the selecting, planning, rehearsing,
and executing of music for all liturgies of the parish. The Coordinator is also responsible for
scheduling ministers for the Mass using Ministry Scheduler Pro software.
General Accountabilities:
- Selecting music for all Masses and other noted liturgies
- Performs or assigns musicians to play and sing at all Sunday liturgies and Holy Days
- Choir development and rehearsal
- Maintain a Children’s choir
- Responsible for designing and printing worship aids for all Sunday Masses and other
major liturgies
- Training lectors and EMHC or scheduling them for diocesan training
- Schedule and book outside musicians for major solemnities or as regular weekend
replacements
- Responsible for music ministry budgeting and fund requests
- Responsible for OneLicense reporting.
- Funerals and weddings planning and performing or scheduling outside musicians
- Attend staff meetings as necessary and other parish events as assigned
Job Qualifications:
- Prefer active practicing Roman Catholic
- Prefer 3-5 years experience in music ministry in a Catholic Church
- Familiarity with Catholic liturgical norms
- Prefer an undergraduate or graduate degree in music or a related field
- Able to pass a background check
Skills:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong teamwork abilities and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills and ability to work in and learn Google Workspace
- Strong musical performance skills is voice, piano and organ
