ROLE OVERVIEW
The V.P. of Fundraising & Development serves as a senior executive leader responsible for advancing the mission, growth, and national impact of Chastity Project. The VP of Fundraising & Development provides strategic leadership to grow Chastity Project's philanthropic reach by identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding meaningful, mission aligned donor relationships, and secure the resources needed to expand its mission-driven programs. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic with a heart for the mission of Chastity Project and who possesses excellent communication skills and the ability to build trustworthy relationships with colleagues and benefactors who are equally committed to the mission.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Fundraising strategy - Develop and execute comprehensive annual and long-range fundraising plans
• Donor cultivation - Identify, engage, and steward major donors, foundations, and corporate partners with trust and integrity
• Team leadership - Grow, lead and mentor an eventual development team toward measurable growth goals.
• Mission support - Align all development efforts with Chastity Project's formation and outreach programs
• Grant development - Research, write, and manage grant proposals to foundations and government sources
• Events & campaigns - Oversee fundraising events, appeals, and donor communications
• Tax Acknowledgment - Ensure donors receive timely and accurate documentation for their gifts.
• Familiarity/Ability to work with EOS
EDUCATION
• Required: Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, Theology, or a related field
• Preferred: Master's degree in Nonprofit Leadership, Public Administration, or equivalent
• Credential: CFRE (Certified Fund-Raising Executive) designation a plus
EXPERIENCE
• 7+ years of progressive nonprofit fundraising or development experience.
• Will consider candidates with 3-5 years of experience and a willingness to be mentored.
• Demonstrated success securing major gifts, grants, and planned giving commitments
• Experience with Catholic non-profit organizations strongly preferred
• Proven track record managing and growing a development team
• Familiarity with CRM/donor management platforms (e.g. Virtuous)
• Experience building partnerships with parishes, dioceses, or educational institutions a plus
QUALIFICATIONS
• Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church.
• Deep commitment to Catholic teaching on human dignity, sexuality, marriage, chastity, and family life.
• Signed commitment to an Oath of Fidelity reflecting the mission of Chastity Project.
• Ability to work remotely in the United States and travel domestically as needed to meet with donors
