Job Summary
St. Cletus School, a Catholic elementary school in St. Charles, Missouri, is seeking a faith-filled, caring, and dedicated Classroom Aide to support teachers and students in creating a positive, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with faculty to promote academic excellence, foster student growth, and uphold the mission and values of Catholic education.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with daily instructional activities and classroom management.
- Provide individual and small-group support to students as directed by the teacher.
- Help prepare instructional materials, classroom displays, and learning resources.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and transitions as assigned.
- Encourage positive student behavior and model respectful, Christian values in all interactions.
- Assist with maintaining an organized, clean, and safe classroom environment.
- Support students with academic, social, and emotional needs while fostering independence and confidence.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and school staff regarding student progress and classroom needs.
- Maintain student confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and procedures.
- Uphold the educational mission and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Job Requirements
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while demonstrating flexibility and initiative.
- Patient, dependable, and compassionate with a genuine love for working with children.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a school environment.
