Position Profile: High School Spanish Teacher
Purpose Statement
Saint John School is seeking a passionate Spanish teacher to join our school family. We are looking for someone who not only enjoys teaching language and culture, but who also desires to build meaningful relationships with students and help create a positive, engaging classroom environment rooted in our Catholic mission.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to grow in their communication skills, appreciation of other cultures, confidence, and curiosity while supporting the overall mission and values of Saint John School.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teach Spanish courses to assigned grade levels.
- Create engaging and student-centered lessons that promote language development.
- Foster a classroom environment built on respect, encouragement, and active participation.
- Communicate regularly with students, families, and school staff.
- Integrate faith, character, and leadership development into daily interactions with students.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and the life of the Saint John community.
- Maintain accurate grades and classroom records.
Minimum Qualifications
- Valid State of Ohio Teaching License or Certificate for the designated teaching assignment
- Compliance with the Diocese of Youngstown Policies for Teacher Licensure and assignment
