Responsibilities:
- On campus from 7:45am-3:15pm
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for young children
- Interact and engage with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
- Assist lead teacher with carrying out lesson plans
- Engage students in activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
- Effectively communicate with students using developmentally appropriate language
- Support lead teacher with preferred classroom management and discipline strategies
- Support the Catholic faith, i.e. classroom prayers, events, stories, etc.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
- Follow schedules and routines set by the Lead Teacher, Principal & Assistant Principal
- Lead and supervise children during lunch and recess
- Maintain the health and safety of all students, i.e. cleaning classroom materials and spaces
- Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
- Provide a solution-orientated positive approach
- Attend faculty meetings as requested by supervisor
- Attend Back to School Night
- Attend Catechetical Sunday Mass
- Attend Catholic Schools Weeks Mass and Open House

This position has an hourly range of $20.41 - $22.13. An employee’s pay within the hourly range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
