Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is hiring! At our Jesuit Catholic high school, we seek a dynamic part-time 12th grade English teacher who will accompany seniors in their intellectual, moral, and spiritual development. Rooted in the Jesuit tradition of cura personalis (care for the whole person), you will instruct engaging, rigorous lessons that invite students to encounter great works of literature, reflect deeply, and express themselves with clarity and purpose.
We are looking for an educator who is equally committed to excellence and equity--someone who sees data as a vital tool for discernment. By using assessment and student performance data to inform instruction, you will personalize learning, close achievement gaps, and ensure every student is prepared for college, career, and a life of meaning and service.
You will thrive in this role if you believe that teaching is both a vocation and a craft--where data illuminates the path forward, relationships anchor the work, and every lesson contributes to forming compassionate, reflective leaders.
CRJHS serves a student body that is 98% Latino/Latina/Latine or Black. We believe student success is strengthened when educators bring diverse lived experiences, cultural competence, and a commitment to representation in the classroom, which also aligns with our Catholic mission and values. Educators from backgrounds historically underrepresented in teaching and those committed to culturally responsive instruction are strongly encouraged to apply.
