St. Michael Catholic School in Prior Lake is seeking to hire an additional
Physical Education and Health Teacher (.4 FTE , 2 days per week) to join its team of dedicated, collaborative, and experienced group of educators. As a teacher at St. Michael, you will feel welcomed and supported by our school and parish communities as we work together to make 2026-2027 an academic year rich in faith, joy, and learning.
Primary Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver thoughtful and effective lessons that engage PS-Grade 8 students in meaningful learning, while recognizing individual learning needs.
- Create and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning which supports St. Michael’s mission and provides optimal learning opportunities.
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents, students, colleagues, principal and all stakeholders around academics, behavior, safety, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues in grade level departments and throughout school to develop and implement positive behavior expectations and relationships.
- Contribute to faith community of school through personal modeling and active participation, such as conducting prayer, participation in religious celebrations, and teaching Catholic values through word and example.
- Maintain appropriate and safe conduct in the classroom and throughout the campus ensuring student safety and supervision at all times.
- Be present, ready to work and on time to meet all schedules and responsibilities.
