A position is open for an Educational Assistant to support instruction and meaningful learning in our Kindergarten sections. This person will assist teachers in working with students in literacy, math and other core-curricular areas.
Essential Functions
- Work to meet individual learning needs of students in partnership with classroom teachers
- Work with small groups of children who need additional support or enrichment
- Follow and adapt lesson plans as appropriate
- A general understanding of students’ social and academic development
- Advocate for students with specials needs and follow individual learning plans
- Contribute to the faith community of the school by personal modeling and active participation
- Establish a culture for learning through enthusiasm and positive reinforcements
- Actively supervise students throughout the day and during transitions
