Role Description The Director of Admissions is a full-time, on-site role located in Livonia, MI, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the university’s admissions operations. This position leads the development and implementation of recruitment strategies to attract and enroll a diverse and qualified student body for undergraduate and graduate programs. Daily responsibilities include supervising admissions staff, managing inquiry and application pipelines, and ensuring timely, accurate, and student-centered communication throughout the admissions process. The Director collaborates with academic departments, financial aid, marketing, and student services to align enrollment goals with institutional priorities and to support prospective students and their families. The role also involves monitoring admissions data and trends, preparing reports, maintaining compliance with relevant policies, and representing Madonna University at events such as open houses, college fairs, and school visits.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in enrollment management, including strategic planning, forecasting, and data-informed decision-making.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with prospective students, families, school counselors, faculty, and staff.
- Experience in student recruiting, including outreach, relationship building, and execution of on-campus and off-campus recruitment activities.
- Commitment to high-quality customer service, ensuring a welcoming, responsive, and supportive admissions experience.
- Working knowledge of student financial aid processes, policies, and collaboration with financial aid offices to support affordability conversations.
- Progressively responsible experience in admissions or enrollment management, preferably in higher education.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in education, administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proficiency with admissions and CRM systems, data analysis tools, and standard office software.
- Ability to lead and develop a diverse team, manage multiple priorities, and uphold the mission and values of a Catholic, Franciscan institution.
