Job Summary
Cardinal Ritter College Prep is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Assistant Girls Soccer Coach to support the growth and success of its girls soccer program. Cardinal Ritter is a St. Louis Archdiocesan, coeducational college preparatory high school serving students in grades 9–12. The successful candidate will help foster a competitive athletic program while promoting academic achievement, leadership, sportsmanship, and personal growth among student-athletes.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices, training sessions, and game preparation.
- Provide individual and team instruction to enhance player skills, performance, and understanding of the game.
- Support game-day operations, including coaching responsibilities and team management.
- Assist with program administration, including communication, equipment management, and record keeping.
- Encourage academic success and positive character development among student-athletes.
- Promote a respectful, inclusive, and team-oriented culture.
- Ensure compliance with school, conference, and athletic department policies and expectations.
Qualifications
- Previous soccer playing and/or coaching experience preferred, particularly at the high school or club level.
- Strong knowledge of soccer fundamentals, strategies, and team dynamics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the academic, personal, and athletic development of student-athletes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, students, parents, and school staff.
- Must satisfy all applicable district, diocesan, and state coaching certification and background check requirements.
