Job Summary
St. Frances Cabrini Academy is seeking a dedicated, faith-filled, and mission-driven Part-Time 7th Grade Teacher to provide high-quality morning instruction for middle school students. The successful candidate will create an engaging, supportive, and academically rigorous classroom environment that fosters student achievement, character development, and faith formation. This position requires collaboration with colleagues, administration, and families to support the school's mission of Catholic education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with school and Archdiocesan curriculum standards.
- Collaborate with and support a partner teacher to ensure instructional continuity and student success.
- Create and maintain a structured, welcoming, and respectful classroom environment that promotes learning and personal growth.
- Integrate Catholic values, teachings, and faith formation into daily instruction and classroom culture.
- Assess student progress using a variety of instructional and assessment strategies and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, grades, and academic progress.
- Collaborate with faculty, support staff, and administration to align curriculum and support student achievement.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school events as assigned.
- Support and uphold school policies, procedures, and expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Valid Missouri teaching certificate preferred.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level, preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students of varied backgrounds, cultures, and learning needs.
- Commitment to supporting the mission and values of Catholic education.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong instructional planning and classroom management skills.
- Knowledge of middle school curriculum, instructional best practices, and adolescent development.
- Ability to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
- Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, parents, and administration.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning tools.
- Commitment to fostering academic excellence and student growth.
Working Conditions
- Part-time position with morning instructional hours.
- Requires standing, walking, and active classroom supervision.
- May require attendance at occasional faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events outside regular working hours.
