Job Summary
Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Math Teacher to provide high-quality instruction in a college preparatory, faith-centered learning environment. The Math Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills, assessing student progress, and supporting the academic, personal, and spiritual growth of students. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong instructional practices, effective classroom management, and a commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver rigorous mathematics instruction aligned with school, state, and Archdiocesan standards.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote student learning and achievement.
- Teach assigned mathematics courses, which may include Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, or other courses as assigned.
- Assess student learning through a variety of formative and summative assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
- Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and productive classroom environment.
- Utilize technology and instructional resources to enhance student learning.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school personnel regarding academic progress and concerns.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, parent conferences, and school events.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and student success.
- Integrate Catholic values into classroom instruction and daily interactions.
- Support the mission and educational philosophy of Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field required.
- Valid teaching certification preferred.
- Previous high school teaching experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics content and instructional best practices.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
- Proficiency in educational technology and digital learning platforms.
- Commitment to academic excellence, student development, and Catholic education.
- Successful completion of required background checks, Safe Environment training, and Archdiocesan requirements.
