Job Description

James Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle School English Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of reading and writing while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and strong communication skills within a faith-filled, student-centered environment. Saint James Elementary School is located in Red Bank, New Jersey

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging English Language Arts lessons aligned with curriculum standards
Teach reading comprehension, grammar, writing, vocabulary, and literature analysis
Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction where appropriate
Create a positive, structured classroom environment that promotes respect and learning
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student growth and performance
Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff
Support and uphold the mission and values of the school

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred)
Valid teaching certification (or eligibility)
Experience teaching middle school students preferred
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to fostering a faith-based, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
