Position Summary
Saint Ann School is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic
Teacher Assistant to support instruction in our
2nd and 3rd grade classrooms. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers to provide academic support, supervise students, assist with classroom organization, and help create a positive learning environment where every child can succeed.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with daily classroom instruction and activities.
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning.
- Help prepare classroom materials and instructional resources.
- Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, and other assigned times.
- Support classroom management and encourage positive student behavior.
- Assist with grading, organizing student work, and maintaining classroom supplies.
- Foster a welcoming, respectful, and faith-filled classroom environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or principal.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, students, and families.
- A positive attitude, flexibility, and a willingness to learn.
