Holy Family Catholic School is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and faith-filled Middle and
High School English Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate is passionate about
literature, writing, critical thinking, and helping students develop strong communication skills
while supporting the mission of Catholic education.
This teacher will inspire students to become thoughtful readers, effective writers, articulate
speakers, and engaged learners in a classroom environment that promotes both academic
excellence and personal growth.
Responsibilities Include:
• Teaching middle and/or high school English courses, including literature, writing, grammar,
and composition
• Designing engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking, discussion, analysis, and literacy
• Helping students strengthen writing skills across multiple forms and purposes
• Creating a structured, respectful, and faith-centered classroom environment
• Assessing student progress and providing timely, meaningful feedback
• Collaborating with colleagues and participating actively in school life
• Communicating regularly with students and families regarding academic progress and
expectations
• Integrating Catholic values and ethical reflection into classroom discussions when appropriate
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (grades 6-12 ideal)
• Valid Kentucky teaching certification or eligibility for certification
• Middle or high school teaching experience preferred
• Strong content knowledge and communication skills
• Effective classroom management and organizational abilities
• Passion for student learning and academic growth
