Job Summary
The Part-Time Aftercare Aide at St. Ann Catholic School supports the supervision and care of students in the aftercare program. This role helps provide a safe, structured, and faith-centered environment where students can unwind, complete homework, and participate in enriching activities aligned with Catholic values.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise students during aftercare hours, including indoor and outdoor activities
- Assist students with homework and provide guidance as needed
- Plan and support age-appropriate games, crafts, and enrichment activities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized aftercare environment
- Monitor student behavior and encourage respectful interactions
- Assist with snack distribution and cleanup
- Ensure smooth transitions during dismissal and parent pickup
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding student needs or concerns
- Follow school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Model Christian values through words and actions
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Experience working with children preferred
- Ability to supervise and engage students in a structured setting
- Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
- Dependable, responsible, and attentive to detail
- Commitment to supporting a faith-based school environment
