Position Summary
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and faith-centered Kindergarten Teacher to join our
school family. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing classroom environment that supports
the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual development of young learners. This teacher will
inspire curiosity, encourage creativity, and help students grow in their relationship with God
while building a strong educational foundation.
Responsibilities
● Plan and deliver engaging kindergarten instruction aligned with school and diocesan
standards
● Teach core subjects including religion, reading, phonics/science of reading, writing,
math, science, and social studies
● Integrate Catholic values and faith formation into daily instruction and classroom culture
● Foster a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment
● Use developmentally appropriate practices to support early childhood learning
● Assess student progress through observations, assessments, and report cards
● Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners
● Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and guardians
● Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration
● Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school committees, and
school events
● Support and supervise students during school activities, liturgies, recess, field trips, and
special events
Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education
● Valid teaching license/certification or ability to obtain licensure
● Practicing Catholic preferred
● Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the school
● Knowledge of early literacy instruction, phonics, and/or science of reading practices
● Strong classroom management and communication skills
● Ability to work collaboratively with staff and families
● Experience in elementary or early childhood education preferred
